We were at the Bridal Showcase show at the Dulles Expo center on Sunday. It was crazy. Tons of people came through, and we had a lot of fun visiting with all of the brides and their entourages. We also met a lot of new people who had their own booths. Thanks to everyone who came by to say "Hi."
Bridal shows can be completely overwhelming - row after row after row of vendors. But it's such a great way for us to meet people face to face. The personal contact is so nice considering most of our initial contact is done via email. We've had a really great response, and are in touch with many of you now about documenting your weddings. We're very much looking forward to what the next year will bring!
Also, a very special thanks to Brian at Elegant Wishes Flowers and Gifts. We called Brian up to see if he'd like to donate some flowers to our Booth. It's been pretty boring the last few shows, and we really wanted to make it look nicer. Brian came through in spades for us - designing 5 or 6 absolutely beautiful arrangements and a bouquet that attracted almost as many people to our booth as our photos did! And he did all this in the midst of a family crisis. A thousand thanks to Brian, and our thoughts and prayers are with you, your father, and your family right now.
So the huge fall bridal show season is winding down. We'll be in Richmond and again in Northern VA in January for the next batch of Bridal Showcase shows. If you missed this one, not to worry - there's always another.
